I didn't like the guard I made, first it was to small, and second, I cant have a square
guard to a katana now can I?
So here is the new guard i started to make, its 2mm metalsheet
I hammered it a little on the edges making it a little thicker.
I drilled a hole and then cut it to shape with my dremel.
And filed the corners.
Finnished.
Painted it black.
Now its time for the collar, I haven't tried this before.
I'm sorry to say i didn't bring the camera when i make it.
I started with a piece of coppertube that fitted quite good when hammered a bit flat.
While heating with the gasburner I banged it to fit tight.
I had to press the sides together in a vice while beating on the top to shrink it to fit.
And it turned out really well i think.
